This week (02), the Bioparque received, in the auditorium of the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), the second edition of the Symposium on Pisciculture of the West of Paraná (SIMPOP), promoted by Aqua In – Aqua Insumos, a resident startup of the Ecosystem that focuses on technological and innovative solutions for the producer sector.

The meeting brought together fish farmers, technicians, research centers and lecturers to discuss topics related to the region. «The objective is to generate debates about the information on products and services that are offered in this area, from medicines, additives, equipment, vaccines, up to the product leaflet with application dosage. Furthermore, we bring together collaborating companies precisely so that producers can clarify their doubts”, explains the veterinarian and owner of Aqua In – Aqua Insumos, Nilton Ishikawa.

As it is the state that produces the most tilapia in Brazil, representing more than 34% of the country's total volume, the event is of great importance for the region. «This is an excellent initiative between Aqua In and Biopark. And we can see that people's interest in the topic is enormous, considering more than 200 participants present. “It's like we close the link between industry, producers and academia”, praises Biorigin's global technical manager, João Fernando Koch.

For the vice-president of the Bioparque, Paulo Almeida, promoting events with useful discussions and efficient solutions is one of the differences that attracts and retains companies within the Ecosystem. «It is one of the benefits that the Bioparque offers and that makes companies grow. We believe that this is a key point and is what we seek to develop day by day», he concludes.
